Sam Heie, Editor-in-Chief

Sam Heie is in his senior year and fourth year on the Newsstreak staff. This year, he will be stepping into an Editor-in-Chief position focusing on print design and photography. Sam has won or placed in three state photo and video journalism categories. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis and skiing (until he fractured his collarbone fighting a bear on the ski slopes). Outside of Newsstreak, Sam is on the golf and tennis teams and is a captain and state champion for debate. After high school, Sam has no idea what he wants to do.

Sam Heie, Editor-in-Chief April 23, 2019

A 1.74 megawatt (MW) system is planned to be installed at HHS. Secure Futures used a program called HelioScope to digitally plan the solar arrays that they are proposing to the school board. Bluestone Elementary would install a 296 kilowatt (KW) system, and Skyline Middle would implement a 501KW system. There are also plans for more ground installations at the high school, Keister and Stone Spring Elementary schools.
