Genevieve Kennedy

Genevieve Kennedy, Staff Reporter

Genevieve Kennedy is a senior at Harrisonburg High School and a first year Newsstreak staff reporter. She prides herself on a collection of rather eclectic skills, such as creating detailed sketches in the margins of her notes, being able to walk both of her dogs at once, and the power of perfecting winged eyeliner on the first try. Her defining feature is her tendency to be late to everything she can possible manage: school, marching band, joining the Newsstreak, etc. Once she actually manages to show up to the functions she attends, you are likely to find her either using copious amounts of words she doesn’t know the meaning of or lying about her relation to the late President John F. Kennedy.

Veganism is entitled at best, hypocritical at worst

Genevieve Kennedy, Staff Reporter December 24, 2018

Set aside jokes of vegan righteousness and prissy eating. Set aside your muffled giggles and your hippy jokes. Set aside all of the snide comments, because you’re right, we should be critical of vegans....

Being fake shouldn’t be considered rude

Genevieve Kennedy, Staff Reporter October 23, 2018

Honestly, is there anything more nonsensical than wanting to deck someone for being nice? It’s a modern phenomenon. The first time I heard about the term “being fake” it didn’t make any sense...
