Emma Lankford is a freshman with the Harrisonburg High School Newsstreak. This is her first year with the newspaper, and she is a staff reporter. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, camping, hiking, reading, napping, adventuring, and netflixing.

Senior Emma Lankford has two kittens named Cosmo and Luna, here they are sleeping on her bed. She adopted from the owner of the Lady Jane, who was fostering them from the Cat's Cradle. "They were rescued from a trash compactor and are now almost 8 months old. Like most kittens, they have lost of energy. Between running around the house, running into walls, eating rocks and toxic plants, I don't know how they're still alive," Lankford said.
