Kyle Banks. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say high school journalism class?
When I think high school journalism, I think getting out of class to interview cute girls (sorry Penton).
- What was your favorite story you ever wrote?
I wrote a column on steroids and why they are in sports and the effects of them, and it ended up winning an award! I think Penton was a little surprised. - Do you keep in touch with anybody that you were in journalism class with?
Unintentionally, I don’t keep in touch with anybody from HHS except for Coach Loughran. - How has Newsstreak help you with what you have later gone on to do?
I’m far from a journalist, but Newsstreak definitely help me write better papers in college! At Bridgewater, at least, teachers don’t want a 500 word essay about how you feel about the book. Newsstreak allowed me to write about whatever I felt was important, and that has translated to college. - Why would you recommend Newsstreak to other students?
It will help you in the long run! Newsstreak is one of the few classes at HHS that is really worth your time, and will help you in whatever you want to do in life.
