Quelling days and weeks of anticipation, drama director Stanley Swartz hosted a potluck dinner and announced this year’s upcoming musical: How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying.

How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying is a musical centered on a young window-cleaner who believes that everything he needs to succeed can be found in a book aptly titled, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Following the book’s guidance, the young man finds a job in the mail room and begins working his way up the corporate ladder.

Junior Dorrall Price, who has participated in musical for three years, was initially disappointed by the choice.

“When he first told us, I had no clue what it was, so I was kind of upset because I thought it would be terrible. But then I read the plot and it sounds alright,” Price said.

Senior Isaac Rohrer says while he does not know too much about the play, he is confident that it will be well-done.

“I don’t know too much about it, but from what I have read, watched and what I know about Mr. Swartz, I think it will be good,” Rohrer said.

While the choice may seem a bit obscure to some, Rohrer is confident that the cast will be able to pull it off.

“I think Mr. Swartz wanted to do something completely different, like he always does,” Rohrer said. “He has the ability to turn obscure into a masterpiece.”
