HHS girls tennis aces their match against Waynesboro

The girls tennis team took on the Little Giants of Waynesboro at HHS last Thursday night. Harrisonburg swept the match winning 10-0, improving the team’s overall record to 6-4. Wins in singles matches included, Lucy Rose 10-2, Michelle Waligora 10-3, Lettie Rose 10-0, Mary Hallet 10-2, Molly Bauhan 10-2, and Ann Bauhan 10-5. Wins in doubles included, Lettie Rose and her partner Jessica Denton won 10-4 improving their overall record on the season to 8-0 when playing together. Lettie Rose was happy with her performance last night in singles and doubles.

“I played really well, probably the second best match I have ever played,” Lettie Rose said.

Lettie Rose has goals for her and her partner Denton in post-season play.

“I want to make it to the district doubles tournament, as of right now we are in but we have to win the rest of our matches,” Lettie Rose said.

The girls team only has four matches left including two home matches. If you want a chance to watch them they have a match today at home.
