Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, the high school staff received their staffing assignments at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon. A letter was sent to each staffer alerting them of which school they would work at starting in the fall: Rocktown High School or Harrisonburg High School. Staff now have time to address any questions or concerns they have with CO officers before the list is finalized and publicized. More information on the staff split will be released as the staff processes the news.
Construction on Rocktown High is almost complete as the final touches are being added to the interior furnishing. Principal Tamara Mines and head of counseling, Rachel Linden, are working with the new Rocktown administrative team–announced in October–to make sure Rocktown is ready for students by the fall 2024 opening date.
