Debate team set to compete regionals Saturday, March. 9

Selected members of the debate team will be competing Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a spot at super regionals on the path to states. The members attending are juniors Lydia King, Jiayi Li, and Jumana Alsaadoon who will all be competing in Lincoln Douglas, a one-on-one debate. Sophomore Hind Mousa and junior Oreoluwa Akinyemi will be doing the Public Forum a two-on-two debate along with juniors Addison Mason and Aiyana Thornton.

Debate has another category congress, in which students play the role of congress members and try to pass legislation. Freshman Jack Powers, juniors Johnathan Spitler and Janelly Nunez will be competing in Congress along side senior Abby Vance.
