On Dec. 9, 2020, 20 HOSA members attended the virtual fall leadership conference. The students engaged with speakers and other members from across the state. This included two keynote speakers and participating in four breakout sessions with guest speakers. The theme for the overall conference was “Unlock Your Potential.”

In addition to attending breakout sessions, HHS seniors Leslie Mondragon and Makayla Runion spoke in virtual conferences. Both are officers for the VA HOSA Chapter.

Not only that, but students also had the opportunity to participate in online competitive events testing their knowledge of healthcare. Two HHS students placed in the top five for their healthcare topic. Senior Chloe Nichols, the HHS Chapter President, placed fifth in Medical Terminology while Runion placed third in Nutrition.
