On Saturday, Dec. 3, various members from our band gathered at Turner Ashby High School for All-District Band auditions. The audition consisted of a prepared piece, a sight reading piece and the presentation of different techniques characteristic to each instrument. Those accepted into the band were ranked by chair, which correlates with their placement into either the Symphonic band or the Concert band. The Symphonic band is comprised of those in the first eight chairs and the concert band is made up of each chair following that.
