After being postponed due to weather, the Homecoming football game took place on Monday Oct. 3. The Streaks took on the Waynesboro Little Giants and came out with a 25-14 victory.

The first half was back and forth starting off with a touchdown run by Colin Morris and a two point conversion by Roberto Gonzalez-Cavazos. Waynesboro responded by marching down field with a rushing touchdown to make the game 8-7 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams’ rushing defenses held both teams to a scoreless drive. The Streaks played clock management offense to try to set up a scoring drive before the half. Quarterback AC White threw to KeeShawn Perry for a touchdown. The Streaks went for another two point conversion and the pass was completed to Steadman Clark to make the game 16-7 going into the third quarter.

The second half started off with the Little Giants’ drive that led to another touchdown to bring the game back into range. The second half running back Marcus Robinson took over the Streaks offense, getting the ball almost every play and scoring a touchdown. After the touchdown, Robinson ran the ball again for the two point conversion but was stopped just short of the goal line. The Streaks defense didn’t allow any more points, and their offense set up a 31 yard field goal for Mateo Peric. As the clock ran down, the Streaks kneeled to end the game and walked away with a win, improving their record to 3-2
