Senior running back Michael Holmes ran for 193 yards, and paced a highly potent Blue Streak offense to a 35-34 victory over Robert E. Lee Monday afternoon in Staunton.

Holmes rushed 27 times and found the endzone twice. Senior quarterback Jake Johnson threw for 118 yards and three touchdowns, including a key 19-yard touchdown pass to senior Donte Fitz-Sloan as time was winding down.

Senior Connor Wolfe intercepted a pass with 18 seconds left to seal the deal for the Streaks.

Harrisonburg will come off a short week of preparation this Friday when they travel to Lynchburg to face the Heritage Pioneers. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
