Jiayi Li, Yearbook Managing Editor

Jiayi Li is a junior and the Yearbook Managing Editor. This is her third year on staff. She is involved in debate, Key Club and the Girl's and Nonbinary Association. Outside of school, she volunteers for the ENGin Program and plays piano. In her free time, she loves watching Netflix, trying new restaurants and learning new crafts, such as crochet. In HHS Media, she hopes to continue creating content that she’s passionate about. In the future, she wants to go to college and have a job that has a positive impact on others.

Junior Isaiah Moats was invited to play at Clementines Cafe as a guest alto saxophone player with a band. I went and played a jam session at Clementines, which, for me, was a big milestone that I wanted to reach. Clementines, was the first place that I went and saw actual live music and play on that stage with jazz musicians that are way better than me, Moats said.

Ann Leatherwood, Program Manager of the Arts Council of the Valley, describes Chito Padilla’s art, displayed at Smith House Gallery. Padilla’s art was up through the month of July. “We have at least 11 exhibitions each year. We have many more artists than that who apply. Some months, we have two exhibitions if they are compatible,” Leatherwood said.
