HHS students voted last week for Homecoming Royalty, which was announced at the football game on October 17. Senior Molly Ludwig was happy on becoming Homecoming Queen.
“I was really surprised when I found out I had been nominated and I didn’t think I was going to win,” Ludwig said.
This was Senior Molly Ludwig’s first time running for Homecoming Court.
“I was glad that I won especially because it is my senior year and I have never ran before,” Ludwig said.
Wesley Swartz was nominated to run on Homecoming Court, which made him excited.
“I felt ecstatic when I found out and I didn’t know that i was going to get picked so I was kinda grooving,” Swartz said.
Swartz showed many emotions towards his win for Junior Royalty.
“I was jumping up and down,” Swartz said.
Junior Ah-Ghia Jones also won Junior royalty.
“I felt good and accomplished after winning Junior Royalty,” Jones said.
Senior Joel Friebe-Makinto was nominated for Homecoming Court and this was his first year running.
“It was cool being nominated, since I didn’t think I was gonna be,” Friebe-Makinto said.
One of Joel Friebe-Makinto’s friends, senior Edwin Hernandez Martinez, was also nominated for Homecoming court, and there was some competition between them.
“I voted for him and I kinda wanted him to win, but it was cool being alongside him,” Friebe-Makinto said.
Joel Friebe-Makinto won the title of Homecoming King.
“I’m pretty happy that I won Homecoming King,” Friebe-Makinto said.
