There has been a fair amount of snow and we’ve had quite a few snow days this year, especially recently during March and February. Although the school board has been rushing to make up the days as soon as possible, I would rather have a full spring break now than to not have a full week off, and get out for summer two days earlier.
I’ve been looking forward to spring break basically ever since winter break ended, and to not fully have it would absolutely devastate me. It’s only a one or two days less in summer, which is three months long, so it wouldn’t make much of a difference at all. But as for spring break, which is only a week long to begin with, I believe most people need the full week. We are at a point in the year where school has been going on for almost three fourths of the year, weather is getting warmer, and people are getting more anxious for summer and breaks. We need a good break.
“Spring break is so important to me, I’m always looking forward to it. And I don’t want to have school like one or two days over it, it’s only a couple of days, but the burden of going to school would just ruin the whole break,” freshman Sophia Hartman said.
Not to mention some families have already made vacations or plans throughout the whole week, and in that situation they would either have to just miss the school made up over the break, or completely rearrange their plans.
Spring break is one of the main breaks in school that everybody always looks forward to. I think one or two extra days at the very end of the year wouldn’t be as bad as having them during an already planned break.
