Opinion: “Sherlock” is a new twist on an old story

The new show still has Watson and Holmes as its main characters.
For those who have not already seen the show, Sherlock is an amazing show about, you guessed it, Sherlock Holmes. This show is a British TV show placed in modern day London. The story starts when an injured war doctor, Dr. John Watson, can’t afford to stay in his apartment and is forced to share an apartment with Sherlock Holmes, and their partnership continues from there.

The show has great stories and amazing endings that keep you on your toes at all times. The use of action and modern technology makes a more thrilling version of the original stories. Additionally each story contains a new mystery and never seems to repeat itself in any way. Personally I think it is interesting how instead of portraying Sherlock Holmes as the “Great Detective,” he is more portrayed as an outcast from society giving a different look on the story. All in all, this show is the one series you do not want to miss.
