Opinion: How to have a good day

There are a variety of ways you can have a good day. I am here to generally describe what a good school day is like because those are important. There is a specific formula to get it perfect so at the end of said day, you won’t be crabby. Good days are the statistic behind all the people who get good grades, have cute boyfriends/girlfriends, and can afford things like red mustangs.

Most good school days start out with you getting to bed early the night before (homework all finished so you won’t have to stress about doing it the class beforehand) and waking up earlier so you won’t look like a total slob to your friends and other school peers when you get to school. When you get to school, it is important to see your crush or a person you admire first thing so they can get a smile on your face (remember, that doesn’t mean make out with them because that’s a recipe for disaster. Teachers get angry, students scream “get a room”, then you get embarrassed…bad day). After getting to class on time, you just do what you’re told. Let nature take its course. Hopefully one of your friends is in a study hall or journalism so they can get you out of class first period. You rotate, and in second period you should pay attention. In third, you should not pay attention. And fourth block varies on whether you need to do well in that class or not because by that time you will be sleepy and will need to try extra hard to pay attention.

The reason for this pattern is that if you put all your effort into “learning something”, when you get home you’ll be cranky. You’ll be tired, and would want to blow off homework  for the next day. Figuring out a good routine, an easy schedule, is a good idea when it comes to high school. You can get more accomplished  and still have time for yourself.

Getting through the bus ride home is critical to a good day. Don’t sit next to the loud, obnoxious girl shouting obscenities. Your smile will rub her the wrong way, make no mistake. Sit in your own seat, put your legs up onto the back of the one in front of you, and listen to music until your bus stop. When you get to your stop, change the song to one you adore and pretend you are actually in a cartoon or television show and go all avante garde with it. Look up at the sky majestically and get a little strut going until you get home. When you get home, do the minimal amount of homework you need to, and put off anything else for study hall. With that said, you can spend the rest of the day as you wish and that makes for a good mood. You’re welcome.
