Every week, one of the things that almost every student looks forward to is the weekend. When I think of weekends, I think of people hanging out with friends, going on short vacations and relaxing because they have no school work. But lately, that hasn’t been the situation for many students. I know for me at least, I spend almost a whole day out of my weekend doing homework.
“I would rather have a weekend with no school work, I have about one or less hours of homework a night, it depends on if I have A or B days on Friday,” ninth grader Chole Richard said.
I can see why we have homework on the weekends, it is to be able to practice more on what were learning. But I think that teachers should save that for the school week.
My opinion is that weekends should be left for fun and the school week should be for homework. I think that weekends should be relaxing and not be filled with worry about tests and projects or homework.

I agree that weekends should be for fun and things, but have you heard of procrastination? Lots of us get assignments a couple weeks before it’s due, but then we wait until the weekend before to do it.
