Opinion: Homecoming hopefully better than past years

Homecoming this year will hopefully better than passed years. The theme will be “club” and SCA president William Imeson and vice president Emmett Copeland are trying to improve the dance. It definitely needs a lot of improvement.

“We are trying to make the space feel more like a club and less like a cafeteria by using black cloth and light systems,” said Copeland.

To make the school feel like a club, the SCA wants to have black lights,  teachers dressed up as bouncers, getting a better DJ. The DJ this year will be a college student, DJ Fish, who will play a list of songs that are up to date or really good dance music that high school students may not be familiar with. Hopefully this DJ will be better than DJ White Mike.

Also this year the SCA wants to stress that you do not need a date to go to homecoming. Homecoming should be a time where students meet up with their friends, it is not like prom where you need to have one date and stick with them the whole night.

Homecoming will take place at HHS in the cafeteria on October 14-15 and will start at 8 pm to 11:30 pm.
