Review: Season 2 of Glee faltering

The poster for season two of FOX's hit show Glee.

After a first successful season, Fox’s hit show Glee returned for a second season. While it had a few hit episodes in the fall, the show has faltered with its past three episodes.

Although the show has always been unrealistic, it  has been taken to another level. How can their high school have an auditorium with so many special effects and costumes when they are constantly complaining about underfunding of the arts? I appreciate the cool performances that the give and I know that it is supposed to be unrealistic at times, but I feel like they could explain how they are able to put on these fantastic performances.

Another recent development is obnoxious characters. In the past episode, Kurt played by Chris Colfer, overreacted to his completely understanding father telling him he could not have boys spend the night. Kurt is openly gay and his father was giving him an appropriate punishment, and Kurt had no right to yell at him.

The worst part about the second season are the songs. They have not picked very good songs and there have been fewer per episode. As an avid Glee fan, I hope the second season improves because so far it has been sub par.
