Virtual reality systems offer quality graphics, fun

During the last several years, Virtual Reality (VR) has become a worldwide phenomenon, capturing the gaming community by storm. The technology used in Virtual Reality has advanced in huge leaps recently, opening up new and innovative ideas for applications.

I’ve owned two VR systems in my life, and both of them have been amazing machines and provided so much fun for my family and I.

The first system I got was the PS4VR; a budget VR system that runs off of your pre existing PS4. This system has surprisingly good graphics and lens resolution for it’s extraordinarily low price tag.

I was super satisfied with this system and it was a ton of fun for my family and I, and I recommend anyone with a PS4 to get this. I would even recommend it to those without a PS4 to get into VR with this system.

Moving one tier up, you get the Oculus Rift, the new generation of the first full-VR headset, the Oculus. This system is in almost every way better than the PS4VR with more available game titles, more user made downloadable content, and an arguably better display resolution and tracking system.

The Oculus, though being more expensive as you need to have a computer that can handle the higher intensity graphics compared to the PS4VR, is a much better system and is the perfect addition to your preexisting gaming PC.

Of the three main VR systems on the market, the HTC Vive Pro is the most high end and advanced VR system available to the public. This system has a much higher frame rate and display resolution than the PS4VR and the Oculus, and while costing more, is you best bet if you are really going for getting the most powerful system out there.

The main drawback to advanced gaming VR systems is that they require external hardware for them to function. Companies such as Oculus and Samsung are currently working on projects to have standalone VR systems capable of having the same power that a modern PC could. Newer systems such as the Oculus Quest have begun to explore into these new ideas, and although they are far from finished, the possible future of VR and Augmented Reality systems could be here very soon.

Owning a VR system is one of the most fun things you can do, offering up endless hours of completely immersive experiences. And I completely recommend anybody who has the ability to get one to do so.
