Varsity Blue Streaks boys basketball team starts season winless
Junior center, Fred Ndungutse describes the dynamic of the 0-9 Blue Streaks as they look for their first win of the season.
“It’s like everyday we’re trying to compete for a starting spot and coach is really on our heads about hustling,” Ndungutse said.
Junior small forward, Pierre Ngeleka understands what the team needs to work on after nine straight losses to start their season.

Freshman small forward, Kyle Rush describes what practices have been like for the team this season.
“Practices are pretty hard, we run through plays a lot just to make sure we’re getting them down,” Rush said.
Next week’s weather with Weatherman Eliel Cortina
Weather in Harrisonburg is shifting slightly warmer than during the break, Cortina describes this shift in weather.
“My research points to the weather getting warmer next week as we move past the break, not quite ready for sunblock and beach-balls though. The warmest day for this coming week will be Sat, Jan 10. with a high of 60 degrees and a low of 36 and the coldest day of the week being on Thursday, Jan 15. with a high of 43 degrees and a low of 24,” Cortina said.
With the shift in warmer weather this coming week, clouds and rain have also made their way onto the forecast.
“We are expecting rain on Saturday and clouds for every other day of the week,” Cortina said.
