The Rock City Regiment competed on Saturday, Sept. 20 in their first double competition of the season. At their first competition at Stuarts Draft High School, they competed in class AAAA (4A) and placed first in colorguard, first in visuals, second in music, second in percussion, first in class AAAA, as well as earning the title of overall grand champions at the entire competition. At their second competition at Midlothian High School, they competed in class AAAAA (5A) and placed first in music, first in colorguard, second in percussion, and first in class AAAAA. They spent a lot of time preparing for this competition.
“I think we did pretty good. We got first place in colorguard, which feels really good. I think overall the whole band did really well, as we won both of the competitions,” senior Carlos Lopez said.
