Students and staff from around the school enjoy listening to music, but not everyone shares the same tastes.
“I like Vaes because it has a nice beat to all the songs,” junior Bethany Rush said.
Freshman Jackson Lucas enjoys one of the most popular rappers today for the variety of feelings his songs provide.
“Drake because he has feeling in his music,” said Lucas. “Like emotion, and it’s relatable for real.”
Although for the teachers, classic rock is more popular for the older generation in this school.
“Well my favorite artist is Steve Perry. He was the lead singer of Journey, and Journey is my all-time favorite band,” Geometry teacher Julie Tibbles said. “It’s what I grew up on listening to, and he has the best voice in the entire world.”
Together, students, and teachers share a diverse spectrum of music to enjoy, ranging from modern rap to classic rock. Each student and teacher had their own reasons for connecting with the artists they enjoy most. “I’ve heard the new music today, but no one tops Stevie,” Tibbles said.
