The freshman in the HCPS Governor’s STEM Academy attended their first STEMinar at RHS on Wednesday, September 17. This event was a great way for the freshmen to learn about the experiences and opportunities that come with the STEM academy. Freshman Andrew Noll attended the event and was very pleased with his experience.
“My favorite activity at the STEMinar was the reaction test station. It was really fun to compete against my friends to see who could get the highest score,” said Noll.
There were a variety of stations at the event, ranging from trivia on Leukemia awareness, to a blindfolded obstacle course and a Just Dance station. Freshman Joel Metzler also attended the STEMinar excited to find out more about STEM.
“I really like nature and figuring out how technology works,” said Metzler.
The event helped the freshman team build, find new opportunities and learn more about the STEM Academy.
