Giving band students an opportunity to showcase their skills, the PRISM Concert is the perfect representation of the class and its goals for the future.
Held November 14, the PRISM Concert was a wonderful occasion to see an array of talent found in the HHS Band, with performances that spanned multiple genres and styles.
“The PRISM Concert is a chance to show off some of the smaller groups and sections, and so we play smaller pieces that are less focused on the whole band,” said senior Lucas Swartz who is in the band.
Because each section is able to play individually, they are able to demonstrate what makes them who they are.
“[The pieces] don’t really have any significance altogether, but individually, they kind of tell a story of who the section is and how they’ll be portrayed,” said Swartz.
With eyes looking forward, the HHS Band is ready to work together and continue their musical experience.
“I really enjoy the community that comes with band. It’s a lot of really great people,” said Swartz.
