As the end of the NFL season draws nearer, also comes discussions of the Most Valuable Player Of The Year Award (MVP). Although there have been many incredible performances by lots of players in the NFL, three have done an outstanding job and can be considered the next NFL MVP. As the weeks progress, rankings will change but these three currently hold the top ranks.
1. Peyton Manning
Holding an 8 game win streak comes Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. With his dominance with the touchdown to interception ratio, Manning leads the stats in highest quarterback rating and has a ratio of 16:2 at home. Coming back from a career-threatening injury, not many can argue against the performance Peyton Manning has displayed.
2. Tom Brady
A close second is New England Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady. His thrashing of Houston. alongside New England’s current winning streak has lifted him up to the second spot on the MVP list. If Brady can retain this same level of performance (Tom Brady is known to win big games in December) then he could very well surpass Peyton Manning on the list.
3. Adrian Peterson
Minnesota’s main offense is Adrian Peterson. With his cutting ability and outside runs, he has been tearing up teams and breaking giant runs. Only 16 other players in NFL history have had more rushing yards than Peterson and the season hasn’t even ended yet. Big runs will keep coming and the train will keep rolling.
Honorable mentions (in order) – JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch, Eli Manning, Von Miller, Aldon Smith, Matt Ryan
