Sept.5 Band Director Daniel Upton was notified that the band was not able to go outside because of the heat. He decided the band was going to do indoor practice for another day. Despite the change in place, students continued practicing. The band used the hallways to practice marching fundamentals. They also used multiple spaces to practice their music, the choir room being one of the places. Color guard practiced in the aux gym.
For junior Thai Mateo this change in practice going indoors was not bad, but helpful. Mateo is part of color guard leadership.
“I love practicing in the gym because we got to learn more choreo and it’s less tiring, than being outside in the very very hot weather,”Mateo said
