Thursday May 25, 2023 at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. the HHS English Learners (EL) were recognized for their hard work throughout the year. English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers recognized students in their classes that they saw working hard or had language growth and achievements. It was held in the courtyard and teachers arranged for pizza and cake among other snacks to be there. The Associate Principal, Jill Hart got a certificate for her hard work with the department and the director, Laura Feichtinger-McGrath also got a certificate. Government teacher Jennifer Spensieri gave out awards to EL students one, two, three and four and English nine students. “I love our community, there are a few things that are uplifting than working with our families,” Spensieri said.
