The Redskins seem to have found their franchise quarterback in RGIII but can he hold up against the fierce New York Giant defense?
What I’ve seen over the past weeks is leadership from RGIII, he makes plays and it shows after winning three games. RGIII’s accuracy is deadly and can extend plays with his feet (just ask the Vikings). The Giants come into this game with their fierce defense and a hot win over the San Francisco 49ers. This division is up for grabs and if the Redskins can pull away with the victory, they will be tied for the race.
The problem I see with the Redskins is their pass defense. They have given up too many yards, and against an elite quarterback like Eli Manning, it could prove deadly. Then again, Eli is known for going hot and cold in the regular season and it’s just a matter of what temperature he chooses this game.
The Redskins rushing game seems to be doing alright, but I do not know if that will be the case against an impressive front four on the other side of the ball. Defense looks to be the main point in this game and we will see if the Giants can maintain a scrambling quarterback and a nice running-game.
Questions will be answered soon, but for now I’m going to have to take the Giants in this division game.
