Students show support band at annual mattress fundraiser

The Blue Streak Band holds a fundraiser in support of Mattress Warehouse. All mattresses were on sale for up to 70%. Band director Daniel Upton really enjoys the fundraiser. “This event started in 2021. We actually had it scheduled in 2020 but was canceled due to the pandemic. There have been mattress fundraisers across the country that have evolved but this type is so convenient. Last year I bought a pillow and this year I bought a mattress. I really like the support from a local business to the program. My favorite part of this fundraiser are the students advertising with signs on the day of.” Upton said.
