Senior Olivia King joined the girls soccer team. This is King’s fourth year playing varsity. King also played JV her eighth grade year.

“This [soccer season] has started off good,” King said.

This year King is one of the captains for the girls soccer team.

“I believe [that] I have leadership qualities to help our team, I also have been playing since I was little, so that brings experience,” King said.

King’s coach, Kelsey Watson, and Assistant Coach, Sarah East, have been adding conditioning into practices.

“I know that in the long run, [conditioning] will help us be able to play full games with high energy,” King said.

King is also learning to play a new position. She has had a lot of help from senior teammate Abby Fornadel.

“I am trying to learn all the basics as quickly as possible,” King said.

King does not foresee going to college for soccer, but hopes to still play in other ways.

“I want to join some intramural or club sports,” King said.
