In Spring Arts there are four senior directed plays, one of them being Dorrall Price’s show 10 Minutes. It takes place in a closet during a school shooting where two students are hiding from the gunman, and contemplating whether or not to leave their hide out, while also remembering times when they could have been nicer to the shooter. The cast of three includes Maggie Siciliano, Abe Nouri, and Joseph Sarage. Siciliano is excited about the closeness of the show.
“ I like the small cast, I like working with a few people and seeing all the small interactions we have,” Siciliano said. When she is a senior next year, she wants to direct a play. She enjoyed the complex concepts of this play.
“The play involves a stronger optimistic character and a weaker pessimistic character, and it is about overcoming the pessimism and getting over the fear,” she explained.
Dorall Price, the director, has enjoyed the Spring Arts experience.
“It’s been fun getting to direct, because I haven’t done anything like that before,” Price said. “Casting was one of the most difficult things and making a set and doing that aspect is harder. Spring arts will be successful and it’s a really good spring board for the future. ”
