Some people believe that BTS should have taken the win with “Dynamite” instead of Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga with the song “Rain on me” in this year’s Grammys. BTS is a K-POP boy group consisting of 7 members which are RM, Suga, Jin, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung-kook, and debuted in the year 2013 with the song,” No more dreams’ ‘ They also have a fast-growing fanbase called Army. 

Many armies were upset to find that BTS lost to Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga in this year’s Grammys, some even starting rumors that the Grammys were just using BTS for clout or some even calling the Grammy the “Scammys”. BTS was very happy to get nominated, they were really proud of themselves and so was the army. They have been working very hard for the chance and they finally got it. Yes, they were upset that they didn’t win but say they were still happy they even got nominated in the first place. Even when they didn’t win they got the chance to perform even if it wasn’t in person they accomplished one of their said goals which was to perform at the Grammys.

BTS has broken many records when it comes to the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours. They currently hold the record with the song “Butter” which got 108.2 million views in 24 hours which beat their last record with the song “Dynamite” which got 101.1 million views. While BTS got 101.1 million views in 24 hours on their song Dynamite. Rain On Me only got 23.4 million in the 24 hour time period and yet they still won. I’m not saying that Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga didn’t deserve it or that the song was bad, it wasn’t. 

I just think BTS deserved it more. BTS has lots of fans but just like everyone else, they have haters. Others believe BTS shouldn’t have even been nominated for best pop/duo saying how the song was not good at all and sounded like a song that would be in a kid’s show or musical and just completely hating on it. This is totally fine because everyone has their own opinion. It’s just that I don’t agree. BTS has been thriving in the music industry and I think they should have won the Grammy. They have worked so hard to get where they are today and deserve all the good that comes to them in the future.
