Opinion: After Super Tuesday, who will be the Republican nominee?
March 7, 2012
Super Tuesday, which was March 6th, turned out to be a game changer for the Republican party with Santroum gaining the support of Tennessee and Oklahoma and Romney winning the most states overall. When asked who they think the Republican nominee will be, HHS seniors, who will be able to vote in November, and faculty predict that Romney will be the Republican nominee.
"Romney has more money. And Santorum keeps shooting himself in the foot by saying controversial things--he's too conservative," senior Gabe Morey said."Romney. He is favored and hasn't made any stupid mistakes," senior Madison Wilson said."It will be Romney. He has over 300 votes, which is more than all his opponents combined. The Republican establishment has been behind Romney the whole time," History teacher Jay Blair said."Probably Romney. He seems to have the most momentum and most organization," Library seccretary Bradley Walton said."I have no idea. I think it is still up for grabs," Librarian Billy Martin said."Romney got the majority of votes on Super Tuesday and he has the most money. He will be the nominee," senior Will Turner said."Romney. Unfortunately. He is the most traditional and has the convention's burger. He has a creepy smile though," senior Connor Whitehouse said."Romney will be the nominee unfortunately. People want someone who can beat Obama and the others are far too crazy to win," senior (and Republican voter) Evan Shank said."Romney because I have been hearing his name thrown around a lot," Senior Angela Hyunh said.
