Every year, the HHS Band participates in the holiday parade held in downtown Harrisonburg. The parade features beloved holiday characters, such as Santa Claus, which the HHS Band introduces every year in the parade. In light of the parade being canceled due to CDC guidelines, the HHS Band kept their annual tradition by doing it virtually.

To make the virtual video, students learned the songs of “Holiday Songs of Fun,” a usual arrangement that the HHS Band performs at the parade. The songs, arranged by J.R. Snow, were then recorded by each student and composed together to create a full virtual orchestra. To keep the tradition of the parade going, Santa Claus even makes a guest appearance in the virtual orchestra.
