Swoosh! March Madness is here and basketball fans are getting pumped up. Sophomore Jake Durden is a huge basketball fan and filled out his own bracket and also filled out a bracket to enter it in the school competition.
“For both of my brackets, I chose Kentucky to win it all. For the school bracket, I had Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, and Duke as my final four. For my personal bracket at home, I had Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, and Baylor as my final four,” Durden said.
Durden chose Kentucky because they have the most raw talent. He believes if DeMarcus Cousins, freshman center for Kentucky, plays to his full potential, he will be an unstoppable force.
“Never has parity in college basketball been more evident,” Durden said, referring to the outcomes.
Durden’s bracket is not going very well, but he keeps his head held high and hopes to emerge in the top ten percent in his school bracket.
