Senior Ivana Mensah-Agekum placed first in the annual Poetry Out Loud Regional Competition.

Poetry Out Loud performances and competitions allow students to learn more about poetry and work on their public speaking skills while reciting it. Contests participants start off at the school level and then are later advanced to regionals and states.

Mensah-Agekum is currently preparing to compete for the state title for her upcoming competition in Richmond next month.
