Debate team wins Tournament of Champions

Sophomore Stella Alexiou, sophomore Emma Lankford and freshman Kate Kirwan won trophies at Tournament of Champions, a smaller tournament that took place a few weeks before regionals.
On Saturday Jan. 26, the HHS debate team compete in the Tournament of Champions at Fort Defiance High School. The team place first in the Small School rankings, a first for the team.
In addition, senior Ganna Aboutabl placed second in varsity Lincoln-Douglas, freshman Kate Kirwan placed first in JV Lincoln-Douglas, and sophomores Stella Alexiou and Emma Lankford placed third in varsity Public Forum.
