LeBron James ranks as top overrated NBA athlete
LeBron James is the most overrated athlete in the NBA. Now, most of you are probably furious at reading the first sentence, but please, read on and maybe you can see where I’m coming from Here are my top three reasons why he isn’t worth the hype.
1. Giving Up On Cleveland
In 2010, LeBron made the decision (which was broadcasted live on ESPN) to leave his original hometown team. He opted out of his contract with Cleveland and signed with the Miami Heat to form the Big Three with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Most would say he didn’t care about his team and he was being selfish. On June 25, 2014, he opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat. Just a couple weeks later, he revealed that he’d be going back to Cleveland. The 2016-17 had many unexpected losses during the season. Finally, on June 29, 2018, he (once again) opted out of his contract with Cleveland, and on July 1, 2018 his management company (Klutch Sports) announced he’d be signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, James’ agent, Rich Paul, explained, “In 2010, when he went to Miami, it was about championships. In 2014, when he went back to Cleveland, it was about delivering on a promise. In 2018, it was just about doing what he wants to do.”
2. He’s A Cry Baby
LeBron James thinks he calls the shots. If something doesn’t go his way, guess what? He’s on the sidelines crying, begging and pleading his way to get what he wants. Why? Possibly because he has the money to do what he wants? Maybe because he’s self proclaimed, “King James”? Who knows.
3. He Thinks He’s Entitled
Like I’ve previously said, if LeBron doesn’t get something he wants, he loses his mind. James thinks he is supposed to win everything all the time. He walks and talks like he’s better than every other athlete, and if you’re not him, you’re not good enough. LeBron is someone I definitely would not want to be around for the reasons that he’s cocky and selfish. Enough said.
