Target creates money-sucking trap

The aisles of Target create a time-sucking trap for many, including Phengsithy.

Target, also known as the place where I spend all my money, is the best store in Harrisonburg. Target provides an assortment of all the things needed for daily life. It’s where I spend my time when I’m not sleeping or hanging with friends.

Target is way better than Walmart because the atmosphere is visually appealing with the bright lights. Walmart is also a huge department store that a lot of people go to for cheaper items. Walmart might have better prices, but Target attracts more people visually. Even the exterior of Target is more appealing than Walmart’s, which is just brick. Target has big glass windows and fluorescent lights peeking through.

A lot of people go to Target, but whenever I go, there aren’t a lot of people crowding the aisles, which I personally like. You can get anything and everything at Target. I like to look at it as a one-stop destination. You can go into Target planning to buy one item, but then randomly come out with a sixteen piece dinnerware set. You can also stroll through the aisles for fun and look at unnecessary items. Sooner or later, you’ll end up making excuses to buy everything without feeling guilty.

The discounts at Target make you believe that you’re getting yourself a good deal when in reality you’re not. For example,  I still get fooled into buying unnecessary items thinking it’s a great deal.

The store layout is just organized and convenient. I know most department stores have an organized layout, but Target’s is bright and colorful, which attracts people easily. The vibrant colors of the cute clothes on the rack will have you rushing to go check it out. The makeup section has recently been remodeled, and has made the whole section brighter. They also have a Starbucks in Target, which is the best combination: having caffeine while shopping.

In reality, Target is a popular and known department store with a great selection of quality goods. If I had the opportunity to shop there for the rest of my life, I’d take that chance. All the great deals offered to me on a daily basis and especially Starbucks. There are many more reasons to love Target, but the key reason why I love it so much, is because I’m so use to going there and spending a lot of my free time that I always feel the need to go there.
