Why Harrisonburg is a great place to live
Geographically, scenically and demographically, Harrisonburg is a fantastic place to live. From being close to metropolitan centers like the capital of our nation, to awe-inspiring scenes like the Skyline Drive, to ethnically beautiful places like Harrisonburg High School, Harrisonburg has the ability to shape culturally intelligent people, who know how to appreciate beauty and have the ability and resources close to them in order to become successful people.
Geographically, Harrisonburg is situated in the Shenandoah Valley in Western Virginia, an east coast state. This prime location gives residents easy access to metropolitan centers like Richmond and Washington D.C. The nation’s capital is also home to large airports, giving Harrisonburg’s citizens an easy route to the rest of the country and the world. Additionally, there are also huge job opportunities in just about every field available in these locations, and being housed in cities around Harrisonburg or living in Harrisonburg provides great commuting opportunities.
The Shenandoah Valley is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Residents have the opportunity to ride along the Skyline Drive and see the brilliant sights of the rolling mountains and plentiful valleys. Additionally, Shenandoah National Park and the surrounding areas, including George Washington National Forest, are playgrounds for outdoor enthusiasts. The valley offers biking, hiking, walking, rock-climbing and plenty of other outdoor activities.
Most importantly, however, are Harrisonburg’s demographics.
