10 best Christmas cookies for the holidays

Candy Cane Cookies, marked Sallah’s number one choice for the holiday season.

Christmas cookies are pretty much the best part of the holidays, they’re fun to make and fun to eat. After all, what brings people together more than cookies? Here are the 10 best Christmas cookies ranked in order from worst to best.

#10 Chocolate Chip Cookies                                                                                                                                     Apparently some people consider chocolate chip cookies Christmas cookies (???). It’s fine though because they have chocolate.

#9 Shortbread                                                                                                                                                                          Kind of plain, kind of good. Confusing.

#8 Snowball Cookies                                                                                                                                                                The best part is the powdered sugar, but they’re still not really worth it.

#7 Snickerdoodles                                                                                                                                                           Counting this as a Christmas cookie because of the cinnamon. I love snickerdoodles.

#6 Thumbprint Cookies                                                                                                                                                     Cutest cookie award goes to these, and they taste pretty good, too. You can even use holiday cutouts to make them more festive.

#5 Gingerbread                                                                                                                                                           Gingerbread is a solid cookie and it is the main ingredient in building houses around the holidays.

#4 The Ones with Hershey Kisses                                                                                                                                        Do these cookies even have a name? So many flavors and of course, the pure chocolate bite make these super delicious cookies. Extra points if you use the peppermint white chocolate kisses.

#3 Sugar Cookies                                                                                                                                                                         So good. And I’m not talking about Walmart sugar cookies, I’m talking real sugar cookies that have the good icing and perfectly baked cookie.

#2 Molasses Spice Cookies                                                                                                                                                 Little pillows of goodness rolled in powdered sugar.

#1 Candy Cane Cookies

The epitome of the holidays. They look super nice and they taste like a better version of a candy cane. I’ll love you forever if you bake me a batch of these.
