Harrisonburg vs EC Glass game recap
June 2, 2017
The Streaks are moving on to states after Monday’s game v.s. EC Glass. The streaks were up early in the game but once the seventh inning came around the teams were tied and had to finish in extra innings. Malachi Simmons pitched to close the game but in the ninth inning two runs were given up and the streaks were down by two in the bottom of the ninth. Pressure; only three outs to make two runs that would keep them in the game. Bottom of the ninth and two strikes in, the streaks managed to pull it out and score two runs to send the teams into the tenth inning. Harrisonburg held EC Glass to zero runs in the inning. Again it was down to the very last out and Cade Templeton hit a ball deep into center field that sent Jackson Hook home to win the game and move on to states.
