The NAMM Foundation has awarded Harrisonburg City Schools with the National Music Education Award, an award only given to 4% of school systems in the United States. Harrisonburg High School’s band and choir programs are consistently competitive in regional and state competitions alike. Music and arts are available to all students at HHS; that on top of the quality of music education were the precursors to being honored with The Best Communities Music Education award.
