In late Nov. 2016, H&M announced that it’s opening soon to come to the Harrisonburg Valley Mall, one of the 3,716 stores located worldwide. H&M is known for their high fashion styles and quality at amazing prices. H&M offers styles for the entire family with their men, women, teen’s and children’s clothing lines. H&M held their grand opening on March 9, 2017 after spending months preparing the store.

Students like freshman Margret Sarco need school clothes that will be comfortable enough and are easy to change out for after school sports.

“[One thing] I like [about H&M is] that they have a nice variety of clothes, with decent prices,” Sarco said.

The Valley Mall is constantly changing, with old stores getting removed, and new ones being built. According to freshmen-Sweta Kunver, H&M gives the mall a newer look.

“[H&M has} a really clean look and is ecstatic,” Kunver said.

With technology getting more advanced over the years, and modern construction designs being built, H&M measures approximately 22,000 square feet, much bigger than other clothing stores location inside the mall.

“[H&M is] big, fancy and has nice styled clothes,” Sarco said.

H&M’s opening gives people more options and choices on where to shop in The Valley Mall.
