Jay Blair realized after freshman year that he wasn’t ready for college. So he left and traveled the world. Blair has lived in over fifteen countries; he’s worked as a bartender, a commercial fisherman, and a teacher. He’s been mugged over a 50 times, and has beaten up quite a few muggers. The man is under 40 years of age.

Story number two: This one is called The Time Blair Started a Racially Motivated Brawl Over His Girlfriend.

Once upon a time Blair was walking along the street in very-recently-post-apartheid South Africa holding hands with his current girlfriend, a biracial African. As the pair strolled down the street enjoying the fine day, they were accosted by a hostile group of biracial African men. These young fellows felt that it was inappropriate for a white guy to be in a relationship with a biracial girl.

Blair was a little nervous due to the open hostility of the group and his own lack of preparation for a fight, as well as his lack of back up.

Just then another large group appeared, made up this time of all pure Africans with no European ancestry. These gentlemen informed the other group that, now that apartheid was over, Blair did, in fact, have a right to be with his girlfriend.

The two groups disagreed on this point vehemently, and then violently. A full blown street brawl then began, Blair never saw the result since he quickly grabbed his girlfriend’s hand speed-walked into the sunset.
