“The two people this the flag present the flag to the audience, and the two people on the outside salute the flag with their rifles to honor the flags and their country,” Perez, said.
Senior Lucas O’Keeffe has been a part of color guard since his freshman year and last year lead the team. O’Keeffe likes to say that his job was like being a ‘“ring bearer” in the circus, he would direct the traffic. This year however he decided to step down and give someone else the chance.
”It is my senior year and I decided to take a break and give someone else the reins,” O’Keeffe, even though he is a long time veteran, still remembers his first football game.
“I was nervous,” he said. “They tell you that everyone is watching you, so there is a lot of pressure not to make a mistake because it will be noticed.” O’Keeffe said.
O’Keeffe, though he was nervous about his appearance, recalls that everything went well.
“I didn’t make a mistake, but I still didn’t lose the butterflies in my stomach until my second year, and I had done it over twenty times by then,”
Even though color guard is O’Keeffe’s second favorite team overall , he says that it would be the number one team that he would recommend to newcomers.
“You get nicer uniforms, get in to football games for free, and get out of school early for competitions,” O’Keeffe said.

The article is well written and gives a good explanation, but it seems wierd to have a picture of the rope brigde because it is something totally different for Raider Team. In the caption it say rope climb, and the word climb imples going up instead of across.
