With the HHS newspaper and yearbook staff traveling to Washington D.C this past weekend, our HHS Media staff is intending to learning and growing to become a more effective reporting community. From November 6-8, Jea/Nspa held multiple classes within the convention that covers a broad aspect of news related topics and information. In classes filled with over 100 other young journalists aspiring to be successful page editors, the group collectively enjoyed the involvement an environment of becoming effective leaders. From motivating your staff in the workroom, to being a professional at handling your job, these speakers are helping our schools staff grow and persevere.

With all past experiences and trips to former journalism conventions, first time staffers reporters and editors alike found the trip to be greatly informative. Bonding with fellow classmates and learning how to better our Newsstreak and minds as a whole made for a beneficial time altogether. Multiple classes or edifying courses offered over the field trip weekend to D.C. tended to either be broadly filled or dwindling empty. Essentially, the amount of participants in your classroom can portend how the session will be ran. Despite often overcrowded with the chaos and eagerness to migrate from destination to destination, the overall atmosphere was more than motivating.
