Mane ‘n Tail leaves Marian conflicted
September 25, 2014
Mane ‘n Tail is a hair product line that specializes in enhancing the strength, length, and volume of hair. Their line contains shampoos, conditioners, leave in treatments, styling products all in ones, and have branched out into hand and nail therapy treatments.
Having genes where hair growth takes a rather slower process than most people, I researched ways to help kick up the process a notch. I wasn’t too keen on taking the pill supplements and spending so much money on certain foods and other products, so I searched on Pinterest. The first 50-60 pins or so had brought up Mane ‘n Tail. Looking further into blogs and other reviews on Mane ‘n Tail, they all had recorded fast results. Needless to say I was hooked. I had found a nice $12.00 bottle of the Hair Strengthener Daily Leave in Conditioning Treatment (had been known for the best results for hair growth) on the Sally Beauty Supply store website.
The directions said to spray the ends of hair when clean and damp/dry. After bathing I did so and the spray gave off some sort of melon smell; close to papaya. I used the spray daily for three weeks and I found minimal results. Now having it been close to a month, my hair hasn’t even grown an inch. The reviews and blogs that I have read had seen far greater results in the span of four to five weeks.
The one thing that the spray did do, despite the lack of growth, was to make the ends of my hair softer. The ends of my hair are bleached and usually bleached hair ends up becoming more rough and frizzy. I did notice a little bit of roughness, but after using the Mane ‘n Tail they have returned to their natural softness.
I would recommend people, who plan on using Mane ‘n Tail, to purchase the smallest bottle they can so they can first test to see how it works on their hair. The product didn’t seem to alter the growth process of the hair but definitely helped the texture.
